Having spent several decades as an actress in film and television, I know what it feels like to question yourself- to wonder if you are ready, worthy, or right for the role that your heart is calling you to play. Doubt happens to everyone. The early stages of carving out a path to your dream do not usually form a straight line. There are side-steps, segues, and  sometimes even stagnation. With too many turns and twists, the ego begins to push forth its own agenda: “Let’s just give up.” The impatience of the ego is like driving around with a tired kid in the backseat. “Are we there yet?  When are we going to get there? Can we just stop?”

If you’ve found your way to SpeakEasy, you’re most likely a person who believes in the power and possibility of their dreams. On any given Sunday our chapel is filled with artists, activists, and angel-faced inventors. We’re committed to seeing things from a more optimistic vantage point and committed to keeping our minds and hearts open to a new way of being. Because of this commitment, we are also a community that experiences miracles. This Sunday we will not be deviating from the COURSE.

What is “The Flow?” What is the mysterious sweet spot that wells up within us and delivers the unimaginable to manifestation?

I am reminded of a story shared by Ernest Holmes, the founder of Science of Mind. He made a great comparison between our individual expression of life, flow, vitality, creativity and…  water fountains. He tells a story about a valley in the Colorado Rockies from which many fountains gushed forth. He explained that some of the fountains were vital and others were a mere trickle. Nonetheless, all were sourced by the same body of water that flowed through them. So, the question is: “Why do some thrive and others struggle?”

It’s interesting to contemplate this scenario from a more personal place. Does God play favorites, and, if not, how do we turn on the FLOW? Holmes tells us, “As an individual, we each have our own thoughts, feelings, hopes, aspirations, and desires, and each is directly and intimately connected with the one Divine Life, Energy, and Power.” In other words: We are all connected to the limitless field of the Divine.

When we are in the FLOW we take on a glow that not only lights us up but has the potential to enlighten others. We lose ourselves in the timeless experience that feels like a holy weaving of focus and freedom, and this is our most natural state of being. So, join us this Sunday at SpeakEasy for a conversation on the power of Flow and the positive glow that is designed to shine from every aspect of your life.

If you are not in the area, no worries! Watch for the recording in our next newsletter.
