I looked down at my wrist and smiled with appreciation, not just at the beauty but also at the idea of the blessings that this new treasure would surely bring my way. I had just been gifted a Blessings Bracelet from Ray Sprong, who happened to be one of the owners of MadeAsIntended or MAI, the company who produces these enlightened little trinkets. These little beauties were the creation of Dawn Sprong, his wife, who was making them as gifts for friends. She added a “gratitude statement” to each gift and suddenly everyone wanted one. The purpose of creating these bracelets was to invite a more mindful way of living, a beautiful way of inspiring people to count their blessings.
I held my hand at arms length to admire the way the little beads reflected the light. I’ve always been a sucker for sparkly things. “You don’t need to do this.” I heard myself say. To which Ray replied, “I know I don’t need to, I never do anything out of need.” My lips turned up and my eyebrows lifted. What a great way to live. This new treasure would carry a healthy degree of positive pixie dust beyond its intrinsic value. Ray’s wife, Dawn, who is a bit of a beautiful pixie herself, began to share how they had been able to craft the life of their dreams through their faith and the sale of these affirmative bracelets. They enthusiastically shared how the Blessing Bracelets were literally blessing their lives and helping them to support and help others. Today over a million bracelets have been sold and MIA employs over a dozen happy people. This is a beautiful example of purposeful prosperity. Dawn is pretty much the Rhonda Byrne’s of jewelry and it’s no “secret” that she is not stopping there. MAI has mugs, T-shirts, key chains and more.
We spent the rest of the visit laughing in their kitchen, gulping down strong coffee and swapping manifestation stories.
For me gratitude is not a lesson but a lifestyle. For those of us who walk in gratitude the world takes on a holy glow. The impossible because possible and doors appear where there were once walls. You don’t have to understand the energetic mathematics of gratitude to know that you just “catch more bees with honey.”
Basically if you want happiness, practice gratitude. When you appreciate what you have, your good will grow and thrive. Blessing Bracelets are the gift that keeps on giving.
The bracelet tag includes the following message…. This is a Blessing Bracelet. Whenever you wear it acknowledge one blessing in your life for each pearl on the bracelet. Each time you are drawn to the bracelet, silently find four people or things you can be grateful for. Be grateful for: Your children, a flower, your dog, a perfect cup of coffee, a roof over your head- just find something. The more you wear the bracelet and the more blessings you find, the more you will be blessed. In one year, if followed, you will be aware of a profound change in your life.
Gratitude is a miracle magnet and these bracelets are a sweet reminder of the many ways we have all been blessed.
